The Always Changing Las Vegas, Nevada

My recent trip to Las Vegas was spent, in part, exploring some of the new areas of Las Vegas Blvd. that were not completed on my last visit in 2009. One primary objective was to see the new City Center where the Aria, Cosmopolitan, and Crystal’s shopping mall are located. A convenient tram goes back and forth between the Bellagio and City Center. At Crystal’s you’ll find a plethora of upscale shops from which to choose including Prada, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Harry Winston, and coming soon Dolce & Gabbana.  I was struck by the architecture of Mastro’s Ocean Club restaurant and it’s impressive 80 foot wooden design. I enjoyed breakfast at the Hash House located inside Imperial Palace with their enormous flapjacks that won’t disappoint. They have put a new twist on ”farm food” that is sure to please any palate. For a nice dinner with an old Las Vegas feel that won’t break the bank try the Steakhouse at Bill’s across from Caesar’s Palace. This AAA diamond award winning steakhouse offers impeccable service in an inviting atmosphere with candle lit tables and Frank Sinatra in the background.

Las Vegas, it seems, is ever changing, but somehow stays the same. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
